Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the meal and performance begin at 7 p.m. This is the first time in “many years” such a project has taken place in Craig, said Chamber Director Christina Oxley.
The format of dinner and an interactive show was popular when presented by the RAD program back in 2007, and Oxley credited chamber board member Robin Schiffbauer with bringing it back after attending an event in Denver.
“She said the show was so great, she got their contact afterward and said, ‘we’d love to have you in Craig,’” Oxley said.
The event includes a meal of lasagna, as well as a bottle of wine at each table. The show is meant to be accessible for most ages, though parents will likely want to leave younger children at home.
Tickets are $40 apiece and must be bought in advance in order to get a count for food and drinks. The chamber’s goal is a crowd of 120.
Oxley said the Murder Mystery Dinner will be something different in the yearly calendar of events.
“It’s not something we have in our community very often, and we thought it would be fun to have a big city performance group to Craig instead of people having to drive to Denver to see something similar,” she said.
