Craig Briefs: Tea party to host candidates Friday
A meeting of the Moffat County tea party is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday at American Legion Post 62, 1055 Moffat County Road 7. The organization will host local candidates for public office, according to a news release.
The meeting is open to the public.

Lecture Thursday tailored to women
Happyology 101, a free lecture for women helping them “learn simple but powerful ways to be happy for no reason,” according to a news release, is scheduled for this week.
Participate in The Longevity Project
The Longevity Project is an annual campaign to help educate readers about what it takes to live a long, fulfilling life in our valley. This year Kevin shares his story of hope and celebration of life with his presentation Cracked, Not Broken as we explore the critical and relevant topic of mental health.
The lecture is set for 6 p.m. Thursday in room 201 at Colorado Northwestern Community College’s Craig campus.

Lodging tax online chat set for June 29
The Craig Daily Press is hosting an online chat with Craig City Council member Terry Carwile from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. June 29.
Carwile, who serves as an ex-officio member of the Craig lodging tax committee, will answer community questions regarding the city’s lodging tax proposal that will be on the November ballot.
Participants may submit questions about the ballot issue or the lodging tax committee before the start of the chat or during the chat itself.

Editorial Board members sought
The Craig Daily Press is seeking three or four people to participate on its next Editorial Board, which begins July 1.
Editorial Board members meet from noon to 1 p.m. Mondays to discuss the newspaper’s opinion pieces for its Wednesday and Saturday editions.
Editorial Board terms last three months.
A wide variety of candidates for board positions are desired.
