BLM seeks input for travel management area
The Bureau of Land Management is now seeking public input on route inventory for its Little Snake Field Office, Travel Management Area 1, according to a news release.
TMA 1 includes parts of Hiwatha, Vermillion Basin, Sand Wash and the Little Bears Ears areas near Craig. The BLM Little Snake Field Office will accept public comments on route inventory through Nov. 15.
“Public comment is critical in developing a comprehensive inventory of all the routes currently existing on public lands managed by the Little Snake Field Office,” Dario Archuleta, BLM outdoor recreation planner with the Little Snake Field Office, said in a statement.
A total of 59 detailed maps are available for public comment. The public can access the maps at the Little Snake Field Office, 455 Emerson Street in Craig or online at blm.gov/co/st/en/fo/lsfo/plans/travel___transportation.htmlblm.gov/co/st/en/fo/lsfo/plans/travel___transportation.html. .
Written comments should be directed to Dario Archuleta, 455 Emerson St. in Craig.

St. Michael Community Kitchen in need of help
The St. Michael Community Kitchen is seeking volunteers to help prepare, serve and deliver meals on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The Community Kitchen serves about 150 people each day free of charge, including meals delivered to homebound residents. Volunteers also collect food donations throughout the week from Walmart, City Market, The Memorial Hospital and Village Inn to be served with the meal or made available for people to take home.
Meals are served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesdays and from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursdays.
Volunteers are especially needed on Thursdays to help serve and clean up during and after the meal, from about 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. A weekly commitment is not required; individuals are welcome to volunteer once per month.

The Community Interfaith Christmas Choir will practice for its Christmas Choir Concert at 6 p.m. every Sunday until Dec. 6 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. All are welcome, and the group is seeking participants.
The free community concert is at 7 p.m. Dec. 13. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is located at Ninth Street and Finley Lane in Craig.
