Participate in The Longevity Project
The Longevity Project is an annual campaign to help educate readers about what it takes to live a long, fulfilling life in our valley. ILC planning day for disability awareness
The Independent Life Center, 483 Yampa Ave., will host a meeting at 5 p.m. Wednesday to organize and plan Disability Awareness Day this year.
The ILC is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the signing into law of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
The meeting is open to the public.

Final census testing day is Saturday
For anyone interested in employment with census 2010, the final day for pre-employment testing and application is Saturday.
The census still needs workers for the Moffat County area. Hours are flexible, and pay is $12.50 per hour and 50 cents per mile.

Pet Mates Calendar Contest under way
The Humane Society of Moffat County’s 2011 Pet Mates Calendar Contest has begun. The contest is free.
Enter by submitting your digital photos to HSMC2011@yahoo.com by May 17. Photos must be horizontal, jpg at least 200 dpi and 6 inches wide. E-mail the photo as an attachment and do not reduce in order to e-mail.
Include the following information: Pet name and age, and owner(s) name and e-mail address. The photo must have been taken in the past year, the pet must be alive and live in your home. Limit two entries per family. After the deadline, the photos will be judged by local businesses to narrow the field to 24.
