Craig Briefs: Newspaper seeks board members
The Craig Daily Press is seeking three or four people to participate on its next Editorial Board, which begins Jan. 3.
Editorial Board members meet from noon to 1 p.m. Mondays to discuss the newspaper’s opinion pieces for its Wednesday and Saturday editions.
Editorial Board terms last three months. A wide variety of candidates for board positions are desired.

Middle school PAC to meet Dec. 13
The Craig Middle School Parent Advisory Committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 13 in the CMS library, 915 Yampa Ave. All parents/guardians of CMS students are invited to attend.

Novel on book club’s agenda
The Craig Book Club will meet at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at First Congregational United Church of Christ, 630 Green St. Audrey Kling is slated to review Muriel Barbery’s novel, “The Elegance of the Hedgehog.”

Community invited to go caroling
The community is invited to join a group who will be Christmas caroling Friday night.
The group will meet at 5:30 p.m. in the north parking lot of First Cong-
regational United Church of Christ, 630 Green St., and will travel by car.
The group will sing at Sunset Meadows I and II, Sandrock Ridge Care & Rehab and The Memorial Hospital.
After the caroling, there will be cookies and hot chocolate at the church.

Conversation continues about Craig’s proposed emergency family shelter, as a community meeting held Tuesday night was intense at times, but the woman leading the initiative felt it was a positive discussion.
