Craig Briefs: New Year’s Eve bingo slated
The Elks Lodge, 43 W. Victory Way, will host a special New Year’s Eve bingo session on Friday.
Doors open at 6:45 p.m. for a regular session of 14 games with a total guaranteed pot of $2,300. Another special bingo session will start at 9:45 p.m. and will cost $5 per book.

County Commission meeting today
The Moffat County Commission will host its weekly meeting at 8:30 a.m. today at the Moffat County Courthouse, 221 W. Victory Way. The meeting is open to the public.
The agenda, which is listed below, has changed slightly from those previously published.
• 8:30 to 8:35 a.m. Call to order, Pledge of Allegiance, moment of silence
• 8:35 to 8:45 a.m. Consent agenda
Review and sign the following documents: Resolution of transfer of intergovernment funds; resolution for transfer of payment of warrants; transportation subsidy purchase of services contract; and letters of support for Colorado Transit Coalition; Colorado Works substance abuse services contract; conflict attorney services contract.
• 8:45 to 9 a.m. General discussion
Note that the board may discuss any topic relevant to county business, whether or not the topic has been specifically noted on this agenda.
• 9 to 9:30 a.m. Discussion with Tinneal Gerber, of administration
Present December budget supplemental
• 9:30 to 10 a.m. Discussion with Bill Mack and Linda DeRose, of the road and bridge department
Public hearing for transport permits
Present senior driveway snowplowing requests
• 10 to 10:30 a.m. Board seat interviews
• 10:30 to 11 a.m. Break
• 11 to 11:30 a.m. Discussion with Jeff Comstock, of the natural resources department
The agenda is subject to change until 24 hours before scheduled hearings. The board may alter the times of the meetings throughout the day or cancel or reschedule noticed meetings.
American Legion bingo set for Jan. 8
Due to the holiday, there will be no American Legion Post 62 bingo games Saturday. Games will resume Jan. 8 at the Elks Lodge, 43 W. Victory Way. Doors open at 5 p.m. and games begin at 6:15 p.m.
