Craig briefs: Moffat County school board holding session

The Moffat County School District Board of Education is hosting a work session from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday in the board room at 775 Yampa Ave. The work session agenda includes board direction for the district’s budget committee. The meeting is open to the public.

Mobile Food Pantry to give out food as needed

Food Bank of the Rockies’ Mobile Food Pantry will distribute food from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Boys & Girls Club of Craig, 1324 E. U.S. Highway 40. Food distribution will be inside the club. Bring boxes or bags for your food.

Craig Youth Hockey has open positions

The Craig Youth Hockey Association has several open board positions. Anyone interested in serving on the CYHA board can contact Charity Neal at or 970-756-2826, or Jill Durham at 970-629-8622. Letters of interest or nominations will be accepted until March 25. Board seats will be voted on at the April 8 CYHA general membership meeting.

USDA food supplements to be available March 19

The Moffat County Department of Social Services will distribute USDA food supplements from 9 to 11 a.m. March 19 at 595 Breeze St. in Craig. Distribution in Maybell is from 9 to 9:30 a.m. March 27 at the Maybell Community Center. Distribution in Dinosaur is from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. March 27 at the county office there.

All households that receive food supplements must be re-certified at the beginning of each year. Verification includes proof of the household’s gross monthly income, a current address and a photo ID.
