The Colorado Department of Transportation continues a safety and improvements project on an 11-mile segment of Colorado Highway 9 between Kremmling and Silverthorne. The work is expected to last until mid-July 2017, with a winter break, mid-November through March.
Traffic impacts can be expected northbound and southbound on Colo. 9 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday with possible work Saturday. Motorists can expect 15 minute stops through the construction zone, with 30 minute delays overall, due to reduced speeds. Crews are working north of Grand County Road 10 to Grand County Road 33, and near Blue Valley Ranch, where there is one lane of alternating traffic.
Wide loads are restricted to 12 feet.
Motorists, cyclists and bikers, please exercise extreme caution and follow reduced posted speed limits and flaggers’ instructions. Please adhere to the 35 or 45 mile per hour speed limits as posted.
