Habitat dedication event Sunday

The Moffat County Chapter of Routt County Habitat for Humanity will hold its dedication ceremony at 3 p.m. Sunday. The public is invited to attend at the house site, 745 Yampa Avenue. For more information, call 824-3990.

County Road 103 shut through Thursday

Moffat County Road 103, less than a mile from State Highway 13 on the south end, will be temporarily closed through Thursday for culvert replacement. All traffic must use other means to access their property.

Customer service training on Thursday

A customer service excellence training program is being offered from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday at the Holiday Inn of Craig, 300 S. Colorado Highway 13.

“Business owners, managers and employees shouldn’t miss this hands-on workshop guaranteed to give you an upper hand where customer service is concerned,” a press release states. “Learn how to deal with problem customers, how to ensure repeat business and how to provide service your customers will brag about.”

The cost is $20 for Craig Chamber of Commerce members and $55 for nonmembers. Fee includes lunch and workbook. Conference is limited to 130 participants. Seats are expected to fill fast.

The Craig Chamber of Commerce, with support from The Craig/Moffat County Economic Development Partnership, Colorado Northwestern Community College, Pioneer Natural Resources, Craig Daily Press and Bank of Colorado, is contracting with SkillPath seminars to put on the event.

American Legion to host indoor garage sale

The American Legion Auxiliary will host a Second Annual Indoor Garage Sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Legion Post, 1055 County Road 7.

The public is invited to set up a table for individual sales for $10 per table. Set-up will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.

Community coat drive runs through Saturday

Love INC of the Yampa Valley is sponsoring the annual Community Coat Drive. Winter coats and other outdoor apparel can be donated through Oct. 13 at the following locations:

• Loyd’s Cleaners at 552 Breeze St. in Craig.

• Hayden Congregational Church at 202 Jefferson Ave.

• Calvary Baptist Church at 1050 Yampa Ave. in Craig.

• Love INC of the Yampa Valley at 659 School St. in Craig.

Coats will be cleaned and be distributed to anyone in the Yampa Valley who needs a coat, beginning Oct. 15 at Hayden Congregational Church.
