Orchestra to perform at school

Steamboat Springs Orchestra, including five members from Craig, presents Tchaikovsky’s entire Nutcracker Suite No. 1 and his Variations on a Rococo Theme – featuring John Sant’ Ambrogio, former principal cellist with the St. Louis Symphony – at 7 p.m. Nov. 30 at Moffat County High School.

Some 50 musicians also will perform Sleigh Ride and Christmas Festival by Leroy Anderson as well as other holiday favorites made famous by Mannheim Steamroller. Tickets are $10 for adults, and $5 for youth. Advance tickets can obtained at the Craig Chamber of Commerce, or at the door.

Free memory screenings Nov. 28

November is National Alzheimer’s Awareness Month.

The Aging Well program is collaborating with local physicians to offer free memory screenings Wednesday, Nov. 28, from noon to 2 p.m. in Craig at the Kinder Family Clinic, 595 Russell St., and in Steamboat Springs at Yampa Valley Medical Associates at 940 Central Park Dr., Suite 100.

City Market hosts annual open house

City Market invites the community to its third annual Christmas open house from 4 to 7 p.m. Dec. 4. There will be free pictures with Santa, hot cocoa, a place to decorate your own cookie and make a reindeer candy cane, and free gift wrapping on any gift item purchased.
