CNCC awarded grant

— The Caring for Colorado Foundation recently announced it has awarded a $26,105 grant to the Colorado Northwestern Community College Foundation. The money will be used to pay for dental hygiene services for children and low-income seniors in Northwest Colorado.

“Caring for Colorado is committed to addressing oral health needs in Colorado communities where access to care is the most limited,” organization President Chris Wiant said in a press release.

The grant is one of 15 totaling $1 million that Caring for Colorado has issued recently to improve access to oral health services for Coloradans. Since 2001, the foundation has awarded more than $8.5 million in oral health funding to organizations providing dental services to underserved populations, Caring for Colorado reported.
