Groundbreaking date set for hospital, college

— The Memorial Hospital will spearhead the infrastructure groundbreaking for the land west of town owned by Colorado Northwest Community College at 4 p.m. Aug. 1.

The event is the start of building roads, parking and electrical and plumbing lines for the area.

Space allocation plans for the hospital are completed and finalized. TMH sent 12 requests to architects and heard back from seven. Three of those have been selected for further negotiations.

TMH plans to have an architect hired by Aug. 23.

CNCC donated $250,000 to the hospital’s building project in return for lab and clinical space for students.
