Craig briefs: Food pantry changes locations for Tuesday

Food Bank of the Rockies will deliver food Tuesday at Moffat County Fairgrounds instead of its normal location at the Boys & Girls Club of Craig. The food bank mobile pantry truck will provide food to community members in need from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Wake the Whittler scheduled for June 14

Friends of Moffat County Education will host the Wake the Whittler 5K and One-Mile Fun Run before the 15th annual Whittle the Wood Rendezvous on June 14 at Loudy-Simpson Park.

Registration begins at 7:15 a.m., with the 5K at 8 a.m., followed by the Fun Run. Participants can sign up the day of the run or before by picking registration forms from Eastside Liquor or from any FMCE board members.

The cost is $20 for adults and free to everyone younger than 18, with prizes given to the top runners in various age brackets for the 5K. Registration also includes a T-shirt, and proceeds go toward FMCE’s projects with local schools. For more information, call 303-881-9320 or email
