Craig Briefs: Crochet club sets fall schedule

Happy Hands Crochet Club has set its fall meetings dates.

Upcoming dates are 1 to 4 p.m. Aug. 8 and 22, Sept. 5 and 19, Oct. 3 and 17, Nov. 7 and 21, and Dec. 5 and 19 at the south back building at 655 Ranney St.

The August dates feature a pot holder project, and participants should take size 1 crochet hook and four-ply yarn.



There is no club cost, and anyone who is interested in learning to crochet may attend.

Fundraising craft sale seeks vendors

Organizers of a fundraising craft sale this fall are seeking vendors to participate.

The craft sale, which will feature handmade items only, runs from noon to 7 p.m. Nov. 26 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 27 at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4265, 419 E. Victory Way.

The cost is $10 for an 8 foot-by-6-foot space, with the tables and chairs provided. The price of booth space benefits the VFW’s youth programs.

MCHS class of 2000 preparing reunion

The Moffat County High School class of 2000 is scheduled to host its 10-year reunion Saturday and Sunday.

Immunization clinic slated for students

The Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association is hosting a drop-in immunization clinic for kindergarten through high school students this week at the VNA’s office in Craig, 745 Russell St.

The clinic is scheduled for noon to 2 p.m. Thursday.

Immunizations will be offered for up to $14 per shot. Parents are asked to bring their child’s immunization records, and are required to be at the clinic.
