County fair is seeking entries for horse show
The Moffat County Fair Open Horse Show entries are due by today. Applicants can get entry forms at the Moffat County extension office at 970-824-9180 or online at http://www.moffatcountyfair.com. Entries cost $7 per class if received by today, and fees go up to $8 the day of the events Aug. 2 and 3.

Roadwork is underway Mondays to Saturdays
Colorado Highway 82 in El Jebel will be resurfaced between Carbondale and El Jebel. Traffic delays and single-lane closures can be expected from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Mondays through Saturdays, according to CDOT. Traffic will not be impacted between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m. for traffic towards Aspen, and between 3 and 7 p.m. for down-valley traffic. Starting July 8, there will be intersection closures at JW Drive then Valley Road. During these closures, traffic will be directed to use El Jebel Road and the eastern entrance of Valley Road. 2:10 a.m. On the 400 block of Washington Street, police in Craig responded to an animal complaint. Craig police said a caller reported being bitten by a dog and police continue to investigate.
