Craig Briefs: Colorado hunting group sets regional meeting in Craig

Hunting Works For Colorado invites local partners and Craig area hunters and hunting supporters to its summer regional meeting at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Craig. The meeting will be in the board room of Yampa Valley Bank.

Craig Chamber to host Taste of Craig Thursday

The Craig Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors invites the business community to its annual business after-hours mixer titled Taste of Craig from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the chamber.

The mixer will feature several member restaurants who will serve a variety of foods.

Preserving Last Frontier meeting set for Saturday

The Preserving The Last Frontier group will meet at 1:30 p.m. Saturday on the second floor of Sunset Meadows I, located at 633 Ledford St. in Craig. The program, which deals with the Durham family history, will be presented by George Durham and Evelyn Ott. For more information, call 970-824-6761.

Application period open for 2016 holiday market

Applications are being accepted for the seventh annual Holiday Artisan Market, according to a news release. The event will be held Dec. 2 and 3 at the Pavilion at the Moffat County Fairgrounds in Craig. Deadline for the applications is Oct. 7. Energy rebate program closes for year Sunday

The 2016 Cen$ible Energy rebate program for Yampa Valley Electric Association received donations from Routt County and the Town of Oak Creek for a combined total of $36,500 for 2016, according to a news release.

The funds are near depletion, so program organizers are no longer accepting applications for energy audits. Alternate funding opportunities for audits are available. For more information call Yampa Valley Sustainability Coucil at 970-871-9299.

The Cen$ible Energy program will accept rebate applications for Energy Star appliances, LED light bulbs, programmable thermostats and post-audit air sealing through Sunday.
