Craig breifs for Feb. 12
The Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association’s Hospice program is conducting its annual daffodil fundraiser in the spring.
It is one of two fundraisers the VNA conducts for the Hospice program. Pre-sales are today to March 3. Deliveries are March 18.
The VNA is looking for volunteers to help sell, wrap and deliver the daffodils. Wrapping takes place March 17.
“If you or your spouse, cousin, uncle, parent, old war buddy, sibling, co-worker, staff member, child, barber, mechanic, accountant, grandma, butcher, doc, lawn boy, aunt, housekeeper, friend, partner or attorney would like to volunteer to assist us with this fundraiser we would greatly appreciate it,” said Cole White, VNA director of community care, in a news release.

Snowmobile Show at Wyman Museum
The 19th Annual Vintage Snowmobile Show and X-treme Mountain Racing takes place Saturday and Sunday at the Wyman Museum.
Racing begins at 9 a.m. both days.
Saturday’s schedule also includes family activities: cardboard box derby and show, chili cook-off, professional ice carving demonstrations, sledding and games for children. A newly groomed cross-country skiing trail also is available for use.
Sunday’s activities include professional ice carving, children’s games, and guide and outfitter’s cook-off.

USDA commodities to be distributed
United States Department of Agriculture commodities are to be distributed by the Moffat County Department of Social Services at various locations today through Thursday.
Today, commodities are to be distributed in Craig from 9 to 11 a.m. at 595 Breeze St. (North east alley entrance).
On Wednesday, commodities are to be distributed in Maybell from 9 to 9:30 a.m. at the Maybell Community Center.
On Thursday, commodities are to be distributed in Dinosaur from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Dinosaur Social Service building.
All households that receive commodities must be recertified each year. A picture ID, proof of address and income or current eligibility is required. Call Social Services at 824-8282.
Dickson art show runs through February
Dennis Dickson, now of Craig and formerly of Steamboat Springs for eight years, is having an art show featuring pencil drawings at the Steamboat Springs Mental Health Center.
The art show runs through the month of February, with hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call 879-2141.
