Connections 4 Kids offers free courses to Craig community

CRAIG — The Connections 4 Kids Parent Education Center will offer two multi-week courses beginning this month.

Cooking Matters is a free, six-week course for low-income adults that teaches healthful grocery shopping, cooking, and eating on a budget. Participants will receive free groceries each week to create a recipe at home, and at the end of the course, all participants will receive a chef’s knife, cutting board, reusable grocery bag, and a cookbook.

Classes meet weekly from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. every Monday at the Center of Craig, 601 Yampa Ave., and the next course will begin Monday, Sept. 17.

Positive Solutions for Families is a free, six-week course that promotes social/emotional development and helps reduce challenging behaviors. Dinner will be provided for each class.

Classes meet weekly from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. each Tuesday at the Center of Craig, 601 Yampa Ave., and the next course will begin Tuesday, Sept. 18.

To gain the full benefit from either of these courses, participants are urged to attend all six classes.
