CNCC nursing students receive National Western Scholarship

Two Colorado Northwestern Community College nursing students have received the National Western Scholarship, the school announced in a news release.

First-year nursing student Marti Jo Jensen and second-year nursing student Holly Gurr will receive $4,500 a year on a continuing basis.

Recipients of the National Western Scholarship Trust Awards commit to practice in rural communities in Colorado or Wyoming for two years after graduation.

According to the release, CNCC is one of six community colleges and four universities that receive scholarship assistance form the National Western Scholarship Trust.
