Charlene Abdella: Thanks for the support

To the editor:

On June 8, the Moffat County Sheriff’s Office’s 26th annual High School Scholarship Golf Tournament was held and all had a great time. I want to thank everyone who helped make this year the most successful event we’ve had for a long time.

Thank you to Cook Chevrolet, Bank of Colorado and Trapper Mine for your generous donations. Thanks to City Market, Craig Power Sports, Dark Horse Liquors, Murdoch’s, Samuelson True Value, TDS Tires, Tin Cup Restaurant and Village Inn for all the wonderful door prizes.

I could not have survived this event if not for Dave and Donna Hardison and the friendly staff at the Yampa Valley Golf Course. Their knowledge and help was appreciated more than they will ever know. Thanks to KRAI and the Craig Daily Press for helping spread the word with their community announcements.

And last but certainly not least, thanks to all the golfers, experienced and beginners, who came out and enjoyed a beautiful Saturday morning in Northwest Colorado, helping raise money for our scholarship fund. Once again, our community has risen to the challenge and I am proud to be a part of it.
