Cars, drivers keep police busy: On the Record — Thursday, Aug. 23

12:01 a.m. On the 900 block of Breeze Street, officers with the Craig Police Department found a suspicious man and attempted to make contact. The man fled, and officers were unable to find him.
4:34 a.m. On the 2800 block of Ninth Street, a caller reported seeing a suspicious car in a parking lot with its parking lights on. When officers arrived, they were unable to locate the car.
3:56 p.m. On the 800 block of 10th Street, a caller reported receiving a threatening telephone call. Officers contacted the reporting person, who only wanted documentation of the call.
5:49 p.m. On U.S. Highway 40, a caller reported a reckless driver who almost caused a crash. Officers could not locate the vehicle.
6:27 p.m. At the intersection of Green Street and Victory Way, officers responded to a two vehicle crash. No injuries were reported, and both cars sustained minor damage. One of the drivers was issued a citation.
4:19 a.m. On the 900 block of Industrial Avenue, police in Craig responded to a state parks related incident. Craig police said someone was looking around a business with flashlights, but police found the business secure and no crime had been committed.
