Canines taken to doggie jail after attack on elderly woman: On the Record — May 13

10:51 a.m. On Crescent Drive, police in Craig responded to an abandoned vehicle call. Community service officers red-tagged a vehicle for removal.

12:51 p.m. On the 600 block of East Third Street, police in Craig responded to a theft call. A caller reported the theft of a fence gate. Police responded to at least three additional theft calls on Monday.

3:04 p.m. On the 400 block of Stout Street, community service officers responded to an animal complaint. A caller reported a vicious dog that allegedly attacked an elderly woman while she was walking. Community service officers took two dogs into custody. Community services officers in Craig responded to at least eight additional animal complaints Monday.

4:07 p.m. Police in Craig responded to a domestic violence call. Officers responded to a verbal domestic dispute. No arrests were made.

4:07 p.m. On the 500 block of West Victory Way, police in Craig responded to a hit-and-run crash call. An SUV was hit in a parking lot of a local grocery store and police continue to investigate.

4:09 p.m. At GOAL Academy, police in Craig responded to a theft call. A stolen bicycle was reported to police.

4:24 p.m. Police in Craig responded to a domestic violence call. Upon investigation, police discovered there was a possible assault and officers continue to investigate.

8:12 p.m. Police in Craig responded to a child abuse/neglect call. Officers continue to investigate.

According to the Craig Police Department incident log, police in Craig responded to 55 calls for service Monday.
