Cammellia Anne “Ratcliff” Busby

1945-2002

Alamosa, Colo., resident Camellia Anne Ratcliff Busby died Aug. 18, 2002 at her home in Alamosa. She was 57.

Busby was born March 25, 1945, in Craig, Colo., to Lee and Ione Smith Ratcliff. She married Don Busby in Alamosa on Sept. 13, 1993.

She volunteered at the Southern Peaks Library and loved to read. She enjoyed painting, was an accomplished piano player and enjoyed spending time in the mountains and arrowhead hunting.

Busby is survived by her husband Don Busby of Alamosa; step-children, Jeff Lynn Busby, of Alamosa, Lisa Anne (Jeff) Hendricks, of Alamosa, and Carrie Lorraine (Jon) Hathaway, of Pueblo; brother George (Verdine) Ratcliff, of Gillette, Wyo.; sister, Vivian Bronson of Montana; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers Lee and John Ratcliff.

Services were Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2002, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Alamosa. Interment was Thursday, Aug. 22 at the Craig Cemetery in Craig, Colo.

A visitation was held at the Rogers Family Mortuary in Alamosa.

Memorial donations may be made to the Southern Peaks Library in care of the Rogers Family Mortuary.
