12:30 a.m. At Loadout Liquors, police in Craig responded to a burglary call. Craig police said a juvenile suspect is facing charges for this alleged burglary and at least one other.
8:50 a.m. On the 900 block of Finley Lane, police in Craig responded to a liquor/tobacco violation call. Officers said upon investigation, they found a student possibly under the influence of alcohol.
9:31 a.m. On the 1300 block of West Victory Way, police in Craig responded to a traffic stop. Police executed a warrant on a 22-year-old Craig man from an outside law enforcement agency on charges of drug possession.
1:21 p.m. On the 900 block of Finley Lane, police in Craig responded to a trespass call. A school resource officer handled a possible trespass case at a local high school.
3:03 p.m. On the 500 block of Conner Drive, police in Craig responded to a theft call. Craig police said they a caller reported the theft of a log-splitter and police continue to investigate. Craig police responded to at least two additional theft calls Wednesday.
According to the Craig Police Department incident log, police in Craig responded to 49 calls for service Wednesday.
Forest Service investigates Independence Pass snowmobiling case after alleged culprit posted pictures on social media
The U.S. Forest Service opened an investigation Wednesday into a case of two men snowmobiling on snow-free terrain in designated wilderness on Independence Pass after receiving tips that one of the alleged culprits posted pictures of his illegal activity on social media.
