What prompted you to open your business in Craig? Bobbie Pearl is an instructor at the cosmetology center. We ran the idea by her and we thought it would be a great place to open a salon.
How did you get into your line of business?
I went to college for 10 months at CNCC Cosmetology Center. This is something I had always wanted to do.
Describe your philosophy of being a good businesswoman. Having great people skills, being to work on time and don’t let your employees down.
How do you define the role of your business in the community? Being able to make people beautiful is a wonderful thing.
What’s the best part of your job? Meeting new people every day.
What’s the most challenging part of your job? Building a clientele, because being out at the Holiday Inn, people forget we are out here.
What advice would you give to a young person considering opening his or her own business? Be patient and don’t give up. Do a wonderful job and your clients always will return.
