What prompted you to open your business in Craig?



My husband worked at the shop for 15 years, and the owner wanted to retire. So my husband and I bought the business in 2000.

How did you get into your line of business?

I married into the glass business.

Describe your philosophy of being a good business person.

To always put your customers first. Do a good job so they will want to return. Always try to make sure you and your staff are professional.

How do you define the role of your business in the community?

We are a full-line glass shop. We do auto, residential and commercial. We do complete new windows, rescreens and complete new screens and storm windows.

What’s the best part of your job?

Taking care of residents’ needs so that they don’t have to travel out of town and having happy customers who return again and again.

What’s the most challenging part of your job?

Keeping customer service our top priority. A happy customer is worth as much as any amount of money we make.

What advice would you give to a young person considering opening his or her own business?

Make sure there is a need. Be willing to work long days. Make sure you have good help. Your staff makes your business.
