A. I felt there was a need for a upscale gift store in Craig.

Q. How did you get into your line of business?



A. I’ve been in retail for over 20 years. It was a natural evolution to expand my beauty shop.

Q. Describe your philosophy of being a good business person.

A. Offering customer friendly hours, knowing your customers’ needs; one-on-one honest service.

Q. How do you define the role of your business in the community?

A. Craig is our home. It is a pleasure working with other businesses in the area and providing another shopping option for people in Craig.

Q. What’s the best part of your job?

A. I like the freedom of owning my business and being an entrepreneur.

Q. What’s the most challenging part of your job?

A. Most are very small and don’t outweigh the positives.

Q. What advice would you give to a young person considering opening his or her own business?

A. Love what you are going into. Plan to work a lot of hours. Pay attention to location. Anyone can be successful with the right attitude.
