What prompted you to open your business in Craig? I am a small-town person and after finishing school in a city, I knew I wanted to be in a small town and in Colorado. I also researched towns with chiropractors who practice the kind I do. There were none here.
How did you get into your line of business? I started getting treatment when I was 3. I found it intriguing and decided when I was young I wanted to do something that helped people.
Describe your philosophy of being a good businessperson. Treat people with respect. Be polite; be friendly; network with others and, most importantly, do business where you do business.
How do you define the role of your business in the community I offer a style of chiropractic care that is different than others in the region.
What’s the best part of your job? I love helping people feel better.
What’s the most challenging part of your job? Insurance billing.
What advice would you give to a young person considering opening his or her own business? Find something you love to do. Network. Be nice to your neighbors and be an active part of your community. Most importantly, be honest.
