What prompted you to open your business in Craig?

“Craig is a very friendly, supportive community. I had a lot of people (kids, teachers, parents) encouraging me to open this business.”

How did you get into your line of business?

“After a bout with cancer, I had a hard time finding a job. So, I turned my love of games into a business.”

Describe your philosophy of being a good business person.

“Provide the products your customers want at a reasonable price. We do a lot of special orders.”

How do you define the role of your business in the community?

“We provide a wholesome environment for families to go out and spend time together. We also offer discounts when families (parent and child) come in together.”

What’s the best part of your job?

“Spending time with the teenagers in our community and being able to spend time with my own children.”

What’s the most challenging part of your job?

“Finding ways to get more adult participation at store events.”

What advice would you give to a young person considering opening his or her own business?

“Make sure you do your research. Market forecasts, financial reports, population trends all play a pivotal role in the viability of a business. In short, if there’s not a customer base, it won’t be successful.”
