Business Buzz: Furniture store plans remodel, works to move inventory

Craig Daily Press Staff Report

Furniture Gallery of Craig, 385 Ranney St., is seeking to remodel its interior, but first they’ll need to get rid of some of their stock. The store will be open Labor Day offering considerable price drops on items for customers.

Owner Steve Bell said he hopes to liquidate half the materials in his store. He also clarified that the term “liquidation sale” should not be taken to mean that Furniture Gallery is on its way out of business. On the contrary, he will be bringing in more stock from his warehouse.

“We want to expand the back where we have our mattresses and change the lighting that we have in the showroom,” he said. “We just don’t know how much we can do until we get rid of some of the inventory.”

The indoor renovations Bell hopes to do will complement last year’s work on the building’s exterior, including murals on the walls and improved parking.
