Business Buzz: Craig Walmart to get facelift, needs workers
Craig Walmart and Supercenter will be undergoing a remodel scheduled for May 4 to make it more shopper-friendly, said Delia Garcia, Walmart spokeswoman.
“It’s about time that we refresh our store in Craig and offer our customers a better shopping experience,” she said.
The store will hire 30 temporary associates to assist with the remodel.
The extent of the changes will be updated signage and finishes, Garcia said.
Tri-State Equipment sells to new owners
Tri-State Equipment has new owners as of Wednesday.
Scott Bay Horn and Fred Nipple have been working on a deal to purchase the 13,000-square-foot business on 3025 W. Victory Way for about two years — a deal they finalized last week.
“We’re excited to be in the community and glad to be here,” Bay Horn said.
The business partners already have John Deere equipment businesses in four other Colorado locations: Montrose, Grand Junction, Alta Vista and Alamosa.
The staff will remain the same, Bay Horn said.
“Same people that everybody’s used to,” he said.
