McDonald’s has expanded its menu.

The restaurant has added a McCafe, which offers a wide range of coffee drinks that include mocha, cappuccino and lattes.

Now at McDonald’s, you can have breakfast while reading your morning newspaper and enjoy a cappuccino by the fireplace inside the restaurant.

You can buy your McCafe product at McDonald’s in Craig at 1080 W. Victory Way.

Prize winning

In March, Dave Satterwhite, co-owner of Brother’s Custom Processing in Craig, competed in the “Hands Across the Rockies 2009” smoked meats competition in Fort Collins. It was a joint convention of the Colorado and Wyoming meat processors.

Satterwhite came home a winner, winning in the Smoked Turkey, Bacon, Bone-in Ham, Specialty Cooks Sausage, Salami, Specialty Wild Game and Reserve Whole Muscle Jerky categories.

To congratulate Satterwhite, or purchase some product, you can contact Brother’s Custom Processing at 383 E. First Street, or call 824-3855.

Work and Life Skills

The Craig business community and the Moffat County School District have teamed up this semester to provide a curriculum based on real-life work skills for students at Moffat County High School.

The final test, so to speak, is a mock interview.

These mock interviews are being held during the next two weeks in the evening Monday through Thursday, and we are looking for volunteers.

We have about 20 slots that we need to fill. If you are interested in being the interviewer in a mock interview, please e-mail me at and we will try to match you up with a future employee.

Award-winning design

Terri Robertson, decorator, designer and sales person, is, in general, an “all around gal – my best hand,” according to Abbey Carpets by Braia owner Dennis Braia.

One day, Dennis was drawing the concept for a new building on a piece of paper; a few days later, Robertson arrived at work with an artistic drawing of the exterior and interior of the building. A few days after that, she brought in the prints in which to build it.

Morton Builders then built the frame of the building now located at 408 E Victory Way in Craig, and is the home of Abbey Carpets by Braia.

The building was entered into a contest for the National Frame Builders Association and won third place in the national competition.
