As you are driving west on Victory Way, you may have noticed a new coat of paint on the building located at 1705 W. Victory Way.

Interstate Batteries recently painted the exterior of its building and also replaced the roof. The business has plans to replace its windows in the near future.

To do businesses with Interstate Batteries, you can stop by and see the work that has been done or call 826-2613.

New cleaning business

Dave Camp has opened a new commercial cleaning business that will serve the Yampa Valley.

This new company will clean windows, carpet and anything in between at your commercial building. You can contact Double C Services, LLC by calling 629-2337.

School about to begin

At the end of this month, the young people of our community will be returning to school.

Nearly every building in the district has seen improvements this summer. Some students will begin school in a brand new state of the art facility.

The beginning of school changes our lives in the business world in many ways.

Employees are more focused on work because the kids are in the same place for the majority of the day. Traffic patterns change as parents begin making an extra stop or two to drop off their children on their way to work.

Shopping habits change because of the number of activities children participate in.

Most importantly, this is the first day of the rest of our children’s lives. They are going to be learning how to be at school on time. They are going to be learning how to interact with other people appropriately. They are going to learn how to meet a deadline.

In a nutshell, they are learning how to become future employees.

I encourage every employer to find a way to get involved in the education process this school year.

It doesn’t have to be costly; it doesn’t have to be every day because every little bit helps make a difference.

If you already are involved in some manner, all I have to say is, thank you.
