Bulldog soccer team loses, 3-1
Craig — The bad news for the Moffat County High School soccer team is it lost its fourth straight game to open the season, when the Bulldogs lost to Rifle, 3-1 Thursday night.
The good news?
The players and coaches are starting to figure out some of their roles, said coach Seth Young, noting the Bulldogs improved play in the second half.
“I think we’ve got people figured out a little better,” he said. “The biggest key element was putting people in the right roles (in the second half).
“We had a really strong second half.”
The Bulldogs trailed 3-0 at halftime. Moffat County got on the board thanks to a score by Armando Lopez in the second half.
The Bulldogs host Eagle Valley at 11 a.m. Saturday at Loudy-Simpson Park.
“We’re looking forward to it,” Young said, adding, “We’ll take one game at a time.”
