Bull-riding equipment stolen and returned: On the record Jan. 24

4:03 a.m. On the 2200 block of West Third Street, officers responded to a car accident. The driver of a Dodge Dakota hit a neighbor’s Nissan Rogue while backing out of the driveway to go to work.

4:06 a.m. At Columbine Apartments, officers responded to a suspicious vehicle parked on Wickes Avenue. People in a dark SUV flashed their lights and had a torch going. “A lot of movement in and out” was reported. Officers arrived on scene and were unable to locate the vehicle.

8:27 a.m. A mother reported a runaway son.

1:44 p.m. On the 1100 block of West Sixth Street, officers arrested a 22-year-old man from Craig on two warrants for undisclosed charges.

4:42 p.m. At Wal-Mart, officers responded to a report of theft. The reporting party thought he or she saw a woman in her late 20s or early 30s hide items in her purse and hoodie. Officers made contact and did not recover any stolen goods.

5:15 p.m. At Wal-Mart, officers responded to a report of a drug violation. A 32-year-old man from Craig was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance. The man also had pills prescribed to him that were not in proper packaging.

8:35 p.m. On the 400 block of East Fourth Street, officers responded to a theft. A woman stole bull-riding gear from her brother and would not return it. The property was returned, and no report was filed.

8:47 p.m. On the 900 block of West First Street, officers responded to a burglary. A woman reported someone pilfered through her home while she was away. Nothing was missing, and no report was filed.
