White Receives Common Sense in the Courtroom Award



The Colorado Civil Justice League announced this week that State Senator Jean White, R-Hayden, was honored with their Common Sense in the Courtroom Award for her work opposing anti-business legislation this past session. Last week Senator White was also chosen to serve on the Colorado Extension Advisory Council (CEAC) set up through Colorado State University. CEAS is tasked with determining what issues, concerns and needs are unique to communities across the state, and offer sound and useful solutions.

Craig Book Club is slated to meet on Oct. 11 at 9:30 a.m. at Congregational Church, at 630 Green Street. Ginger Taylor will be discussing “Swamplandia” by Karen Russell.

The American Legion is hosting their bi-weekly bingo Saturday, Oct. 6, at the Elks Lodge, 43 West Victory Way. Doors open at 4:30 p.m., and bingo begins at 5:45 p.m.
