Business award nominations sought

The Craig Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations from the community for its annual business awards. Please consider the local businesses that have made an impression on you through their customer service, business practices or community support and nominate them as the 2012 Large Business or Small Business of the Year.

Send your nominations to 360 E. Victory Way, Craig, CO 81625 or by e-mail to director@craig-chamber.com. Award recipients must be members of the Craig Chamber of Commerce.

Winners will be announced at the annual State of the County banquet held in February of 2013.

Catch The Williams Brothers Band for an “End of The World” Party. Friday, Dec. 2, at 9 p.m. until 12 a.m., at the Holiday Inn in Craig. A wide variety of music will be played. Come out and enjoy.

Rotary’s Diamonds & Spurs

Tickets for Craig Rotary’s 15th annual Diamond & Spurs dinner/dance are now on sale. The date is Saturday January 26th from 6pm – midnight. In addition to a fabulous dinner there will be a silent auction and the winner of the first Bill & Nancy Muldoon Humanitarian award will be presented. Tickets are $60 with tables of 8 for $480 and 10 for $600. They can be purchased from any Rotarian or at the Elk Run Inn or the Craig Chamber of Commerce.

Moffat County Libraries Closed

All branches of the Moffat County Libraries will be closed Saturday, Dec. 22 through Tuesday, Dec. 25 for the Holiday.

Festival of Trees

Enter a wonderland of trees decorated by some very clever and creative area non-profit organizations at the Moffat County Courthouse. Join the public celebration from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20. There will be food, drink and entertainment, including Santa Claus & Mrs. Claus.

The trees will be on display from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. from now until December 26th
