Craig Fire/Rescue have partnered with VFW and have rescheduled July 4 Fireworks to Veterans Day, Sunday, Nov 11. The show will start at dark. It will launch from its usual location on the hill across from Moffat County High School. 10th Street will be closed for 30 minutes prior to the event.

Elkhead State Park closed to boating for the winter, but the lake will remain open to hand launched vessels as weather permits. For additional boat ramp closures at state parks and information about hand launched vessels and ice fishing, please visit the individual park websites at .

Love INC. Coat Distribution will be held in Craig Thursday and Friday, Nov. 8, 9, 15 and 16, at the First Congregational Church, 630 Green Street (back entrance) and in Meeker Saturday, Nov. 17, from 10 a.m. till 2 p.m., at the Meeker Fair Field Center at 200 Main Street. Craig residents in need of a Thanksgiving food box can call the Love INC. Clearinghouse at 826-4400 from Thursday, Nov. 1 – 14. You will be asked to fill out a short application over the phone. Applicants must demonstrate a need and your information will be verified. Boxes will be delivered beginning at Noon on Saturday, Nov. 17. In order to accommodate the expected increase in the number of calls we will receive, Love INC. are extending their hours of service. Monday, Nov. 5 – 16, Love INC. Clearinghouse extended hours of service: 9 a.m. – 12 noon and 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. Monday – Friday.

Moffat County Library in Craig presents the performance of Celtic Harpist, Charleah Firestone. Saturday, Dec. 1, at 2 p.m. and Monday, Dec. 3, at 6 p.m. Irish, Scottish, Welsh, English, American and Christmas music will be played.
