A Community Caroling Party is slated for, Friday, Dec. 14, at 6:30 p.m. We will gather at First Congreational UCC, 630 Green St. and go to Sandrock Nursing Home, Hospital and Senior Housing. All are welcome to join us to bring cheer to our community. Warm drinks and treats to follow at the church. All ages and persuasions are welcome!

Commissioner Open House, Wednesday, Dec. 12, at 9 a.m. – 11 a.m., at the Moffat County Courthouse Main Floor Conference Room. The current Board of Commissioners (Tom Gray, Audrey Danner, and Tom Mathers) will be there, as well as Commissioners-Elect, Chuck Grobe and John Kinkaid. Everyone is encouraged to stop by to chat with the Commissioners. Light refreshments will be served. Hope to see you there!

The Parade of Museums begins at the Wyman Museum, where everyone will board the bus at 7 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15. The first stop will be at The Hayden Heritage Center to enjoy the Elkhead photo pictorial from Nothing Daunted, the Holiday Homestead Display and many more local exhibits, located in the historic downtown Moffat depot. Next on the tour is the Tread of Pioneers Museum, located in the 1908 Queen Anne-style Zimmerman house that is decorated for the season! Enjoy the new photo exhibit by Rex Gill. Steamboat Art Museum is the next stop where guests will enjoy The American Water Color Traveling exhibit for 2012. Enjoy numerous water colors from different artists from all corners of the United States. Our guests get the chance to see the exhibit before it moves on Dec. 16. On the way back to Craig participants will stop at the Hayden Park to enjoy the Nativity Scene by Nini Schroyer. Upon our return to Craig we venture to the Museum of Northwest Colorado to view the annual gingerbread house display, the new snowflake exhibit and a tour of the museum. There will be a homemade soup bar for lunch. The Parade ends at the Wyman Museum with a personal tour with Lou and dessert. Santa will be on hand and there will be sleigh rides, crafts for the kids, hot cocoa and much more. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased at the Museum of Northwest Colorado and the Wyman Museum.
