Arthritis Foundation Aquatics

Hot Topics on Employment Discrimination

Ben Hase from the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies DORA will present critical information for employers regarding Employment Discrimination. This FREE seminar will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Colorado Northwestern Community College, room 112, 2801 W. 9th Street.

Food Supplement Distribution

The Moffat County Department of Social Services will have U.S.D.A. Food Supplement distribution. Wednesday, Sept. 26, in Maybell from 9 to 9:30 a.m. at the Maybell Community Center, and in Dinosaur from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the County Office in Dinosaur. All households that receive Food Supplement must be recertified at the first of each year. Verification includes proof of the household’s gross monthly income, current address and picture I.D. MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers Meeting)

There will be two meetings for the Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) which is for moms with one or more children 0-5 years old. These two informational meetings are for:

(1) Are you overwhelmed by the pressures of being a mom?

(2) Could you use encouragement and prayer?

(3) Are you looking for a place to connect with others just like you, but don’t know where to turn?

Then come to these two informational meetings at the New Creation Church, 520 Westridge Rd. (in Ridgeview subdivision). Regular meetings will be the second and fourth Friday of each month from 8:30 to 11 a.m.

In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

In honor of National Breast CAncer Awareness Month, the Memorial Hospital is helping the Craig Daily Press turn PINK on Mondays. On Mondays in October, readers will discover a whole lot of pink in their newspaper with PINK paper and PINK ads.

We’ll also include important information regarding breast cancer awareness, education, and support

25% of all PINK ad revenue will go directly to the United Way of Moffat County to distribute to LOCAL agencies that help those with breast cancer.
