Caravan of Thieves, is slated for Tuesday, Oct. 16
For the past three years, this Caravan of Thieves has roamed the North American continent recruiting a family of avid thrill seekers at their high energy shows. Driving gypsy jazz rhythms, acoustic guitars, upright bass and violin lay the foundation for mesmerizing vocal harmonies and fantastic stories. It’s theatrical and humorous. It’s musical and intense. It entertains, dazzles and defies classification while welcoming the spectator to join the band in clapping, snapping and sing-along’s. The show begins at 7 p.m. at the Moffat County High School Auditorium.
Chamber of Commerce Crab Fest is slated for Saturday, Oct. 20
It is time for the Craig Chamber of Commerce Crab Fest. Enjoy a generous serving of king crab legs, red potatoes, corn on the cob and herb & cheese biscuits followed by a mouth-watering dessert buffet. There will also be a cash bar. There will be a silent and live auction with a comedy performance to entertain you. Tickets are $50 per person and the event will be held at the Boys & Girls Club of Craig, 1324 E. Hwy 40. Northwest Colorado residents now have free carpool matching service
Residents of Moffat, Rio Blanco and Routt counties now have access to a free, online carpool matching service sponsored by the nonprofit Yampa Valley Data Partners in cooperation with the three counties.
Commuters may find regular carpool partners or a car share for a one-time trip by registering on the website with a valid email address.
Organizers hope the website will help residents save on personal transportation costs and do their part to reduce fuel use and vehicle pollution.

The Humane Society is sponsoring “Second Chance Saturday” discount adopt-a-thon on Saturday, October 13, from 9 a.m. – Noon at Bear Creek Animal Hospital. All shelter animals are $60 to adopt. The regular price is $115. This includes spay/neuter, vaccinations and Feline Leukemia test for cats.
