The Colorado Environmental Coalition, The Wilderness Society and Friends of Northwest Colorado are hosting a cottonwood tree-planting trip for today and Saturday at Browns Park National Wildlife Refuge.
Overnight camping is an option for $10. Pre-registration is required at http://www.ourcolorado.org/cottonwood.

Local business to present light show
Clint Gabbert and The Jungle Pet Shop will present a light show beginning Friday and continuing through Halloween.
The show begins at dark and continues to 9 p.m. every night from today through Oct. 31 at the shop, 565 Yampa Ave.
