Love INC hosts coat drive

Love in the Name of Christ has scheduled distributions for the Community Coat Drive.



Distributions are scheduled for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Fairfield Center, 200 Main St., Meeker; 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Nov. 15 to 17 at Dinosaur School, 401 Fourth St., Dinosaur; and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 19 at South Routt Elementary School, 448 E. Main St., Yampa.

Anyone in need of a winter coat, regardless of income, may pick up one for themselves and their children. The limit is one coat per person per year.



Donations of gently used coats, gloves and other accessories are accepted at Love INC, 656 School St., or Calvary Baptist Church, 1050 Yampa Ave.

Pregnancy Center hosts meal, auction

The Yampa Valley Pregnancy Center hosts its annual chili supper and silent auction at 6 p.m. today at The Center of Craig, 601 Yampa Ave.

The event costs $6 per person, $10 per couple or $20 for a family of four plus $2 for each additional child. Tickets are available at the door.

Elks to offer stroke screenings

Elks Lodge 1577 will host a Life Line Screening on Nov. 15.

The screenings help to identify potential cardiovascular conditions and assess risk for osteoporosis.

The five screenings are painless and take between 60 and 90 minutes to complete. Packages start at $149.
