Briefs for March 23, 2011: VNA hosting drop-in clinic today

The Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association will host a drop-in immunization clinic for adolescents to get their Tdap and Meningococcal vaccinations from 4 to 6:30 p.m. today at Craig Middle School during parent-teacher conferences.

Parents must be present and need to bring their child’s immunization records.

Humane Society adoption day set

The Humane Society of Moffat County is hosting an adoption day from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Craig Animal Shelter, 2430 E. Victory Way.

Animals will be available for a reduced $60 fee. The fee includes spay/neutering and vaccinations.

The shelter is reaching capacity for both dogs and cats, the Humane Society reported.

Concert association sponsoring show

The Craig Concert Association is presenting a performance by the River City 6, a brass ensemble of six players from the River City Brass Band, at 7 p.m. Monday at the MCHS auditorium, 900 Finley Lane.

“Get all the excitement of a River City Brass Band Concert with the intimate setting of a chamber music recital,” according to a news release. “Come out and enjoy the show as the members of the River City 6 dazzle the crowd with lightning-fast licks, laughable antics and unforgettable charm.”

The concert is free for association members. The cost for non-members is $20 at the door.
