Briefs for Feb. 7, 2011: Craig library plans Culture Night

The Craig branch of the Moffat County Libraries will be hosting Culture Night from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. the first Monday of every month, the library announced in a news release.

The next Culture Night is scheduled for tonight at the library, 570 Green St., and will feature harpist Charleah Firestone.

Local residents are encouraged to bring their families for the hour of entertainment provided by local artists.

Habitat Partnership Program meeting

The Northwestern Colorado Habitat Partnership Program committee is hosting its monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Craig Chamber of Commerce, 360 E. Victory Way.

The meeting is open to the public.

Open mic night slated for Tuesday

Carelli’s Pizzeria & Pasta, 465 Yampa Ave., is hosting an open mic night Tuesday night.

Sign-up takes place at 6:30 p.m., and performances begin at 7 p.m. The event is open to singers, songwriters, poets, or anyone who wishes to perform.

2011 Relay for Life kicks off Tuesday

The 2011 Relay for Life kick-off event is scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at The Memorial Hospital, 750 Hospital Loop.

The event will include a luminaria ceremony, a celebration of survivors, speakers, information stations and refreshments.

Teams will also be able to get information.
