Craig Youth Hockey Association will have a board meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Holiday Inn of Craig, 300 S. Colo. Hwy. 13.

Public Lands Days set for Saturday
National Public Lands Days has been scheduled for 9 a.m. Saturday at Irish Canyon in western Moffat County.
The event, sponsored by the Bureau of Land Management, Colorado Environmental Coalition and The Colorado Mountain Club, invites the community to complete maintenance work including re-establishing camping pads, painting and trail grooming.
All volunteers will receive a free barbecue, T-shirt, day pass to public land and a raffle ticket for two mountain bikes.
Participants are welcome to camp for free. Those camping Friday who arrive by 6:30 p.m. may join a trip to Sand Wash Basin. Those staying Saturday night can participate in a geochaching search, hot dog and marshmallow roast and a wildlife talk.

Next Chamber mixer scheduled for Thursday
The Craig Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors host the next Business After-Hours Mixer from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday 4295 U.S. Highway 40.
Northwest Storage, Ensignal, Rhino’s Deli and Grand Futures Prevention Coalition host the event. It’s free and open to the public.

5:05 Drinks to focus on recycling
The next 5:05 Drinks program, hosted by Yampa Valley Partners, will feature a presentation on recycling.
Emilie Rogers of Yampa Valley Recycles will inform attendees what to recycle and why.
The program runs from 5:05 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the O.P. Bar & Grill, 534 E. Victory Way.

Horizons offers free developmental screenings
Horizons Specialized Services, 439 Breeze St., is offering free developmental screenings for children from birth to age 3.
The screenings will address questions about when children should be walking and speaking as well as concerns about hearing and vision.

Area producers eligible for emergency loans
Moffat, Routt, Jackson and Larimer counties have been designated as contiguous counties to disaster area in Wyoming due to losses caused by sever storms, flooding and landslides between May 18 and July 8.
Producers in these counties could be eligible for Farm Service Agency low-interest emergency loans, available to operators of family farms and ranches who are unable to obtain credit elsewhere. Loans are based on production losses caused by the disaster.
Producers must file an application for an emergency loan by March 22, 2012.
