Briefs for April 4, 2011: Church hosting new event

Apostolic Lighthouse Church, 3107 W. First St., hosts Moms' Monday from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. every Monday.

Local mothers can bring their children and a lunch to the church to enjoy "fun and fellowship while the kids run and play," according to a news release.

Library's Culture Night tonight

The Craig branch of the Moffat County Libraries, 570 Green St., is hosting Culture Night from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. tonight.

The event features local artists, and tonight's event will showcase Joan Feagins, who works with watercolors, and charcoal and pencil drawings.

She'll also sign copies of her book, "A Listening Heart."

Support group set to meet Tuesday

The Cancer Support Group is scheduled to meet from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the library at St. Michael Catholic Church, 678 School St.

Meetings take place on the first and third Tuesday of each month, and anyone is welcome.

Second Amendment focus of meeting

The Bears Ears Tea Party Patriots will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at The Center of Craig, 601 Yampa Ave.

The meeting will include a presentation on the Second Amendment.

Speakers include Steve Sloan, Moffat County Sheriff Tim Jantz and Bob McConnell, who will discuss the amendment, concealed weapons, the law and military.
