Medicare counseling in Craig

Medicare consultations take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday in room 106 of Colorado Northwestern Community College’s Bell Tower Building, 50 College Drive.

Betsy Packer, with the State Health Insurance Assistance Program, is available the first and third Tuesdays of every month to offer one-on-one help to residents with Medicare and their families.

The consultations are free and confidential, and they are open to residents who receive Medicare, which is for people 65 and older, or who will be receiving Medicare services in the near future.

Christian Church hosts bazaar today

The Ladies Mite Society of Craig Christian Church will host a spring bazaar and bake sale from 9 a.m. to noon today at the church, 960 W. Victory Way.

Cinnamon rolls and coffee also will be sold.

The deadline to enter pet pictures in the 2013 Pet Mate Calendar Contest has been set for Tuesday. The contest is a fundraiser for The Humane Society of Moffat County.
