Bad pot luck at Kum & Go: On the record Jan. 22 through 23
Monday, Jan. 22
12:36 a.m. At the East Kum & Go, officers responded to a report of a drug violation. A bag of marijuana was found on the floor near the register. A report was filed.
12:04 p.m. At Craig Middle School, officers responded to a tobacco violation. A juvenile was issued a summons.
1:04 p.m. On the 2300 block of West Victory Way, officers responded to a report of a weapons violation. A person attempted to purchase a weapon and was mistakenly flagged in the Colorado Bureau of Investigation’s database as someone not allowed to purchase a weapon. After investigation, officers determined there was no crime.
Tuesday, Jan. 23
3:40 a.m. At the intersection of Yampa Avenue and East Victory Way, officers contacted a suspicious person. The 27-year-old man had two warrants for his arrest, both for a misdemeanor failure to appear in court. During the arrest, he was also charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, violation of bail bond conditions and two counts of violation of a protection order.
1:44 p.m. On the 1200 block of Taylor Street, officers responded to a report of trespass. A man trespassed on residential property. A report was filed.
1:50 p.m. At City Market, officers responded to a report of employee theft.
5:44 p.m. Officers responded to a report of sexual assault.
10:58 p.m. On the 1000 block of East Seventh Street, officers responded to a report of domestic violence. The reporting person thought he or she heard a man cursing at a woman, loud noises and slamming doors for 45 minutes to an hour. Officers found no proof of a crime.
