The Craig City Council recently proclaimed January 2024 “General Aviation Appreciation Month.”
At the council’s Jan. 9 meeting, mayor Chris Nichols read the full proclamation aloud for the benefit of attendees and livestream viewers.
The proclamation avowed Craig’s “significant interest in the continued vitality of general aviation, aircraft manufacturing, aviation educational institutions, aviation organizations and community airports.”
The proclamation also noted the positive impact that general aviation and the Craig-Moffat Airport have had on the community’s economic development and overall quality of life.
Following Nichols’ reading, the council unanimously voted in favor of designating this month for general aviation appreciation.
